I've never heard this before, but it's so true! It's easy to stop paying attention to what I'm eating as I get more and more caught up in life. I had some health problems that kept me out of the gym for about two months. Just when I thought I was getting back, my grandfather ended up in the hospital and is seriously ill, so I've been going back and forth to visit him. Meanwhiel, I am trying to teach two summer classes. I've been so stressed out that I just want to eat comfort food. I've been doing okay, but I have really been slacking off with tracking and as a result I have been giving myself negative messages, like "I'm so fat! I might as well just give up because I haven't been tracking anythning and I haven't been going to the gym."
Can anyone give me suggestions on what to do when you face a major slump like this where it's impossible to put exercise first? I'm so afraid of turnining into a blob again.
