Pork Chops with Sautéed Apples and Sauerkraut
4 center-cut pork chops
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons oil
3 golden delicious apples- peeled, cored and sliced
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup bagged sauerkraut, well drained
½ teaspoon caraway seed (I omit!)
Sprinkle chops with ¼ tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper.
Heat 1 tsp oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat.
Add chops and cook until browned and cooked through.
Transfer to plate and keep warm.
Heat remaining oil in skillet.
Add apples and cinnamon.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples begin to brown. Add sauerkraut, caraway seeds and remaining salt and pepper. Cook 2-3 minutes.
Serve with pork
Serves 4. 5 points per serving.
